Theresa Johns

JOHNS: Theresa Johns, of New London entered eternal life on Jan. 22, 2026. She was born Feb. 5, 1928, in New London the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Hodge) Hunt. She attended local schools in New London, graduating from the former Chapman Technical High School.  She was united in marriage to the late Walter Johns on June 27, 1953, in St. Joseph Church, her beloved husband died July 18, 2009. She retired from Electric Boat after 25 years of service. She is survived by her son Richard Johns of VA. Two siblings, Joseph Hunt of Groton and Catherine Kahle of NV. Six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Diane Johns-Wood. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Interment will be private.
