Royal Howard

Royal Howard passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 61. He was a father, a grandfather, a brother, and a man who made life more colorful for everyone who knew him.

Royal was born in Yonkers, NY on June 15, 1964, and was one of six siblings with four brothers and one sister. He had a big personality and an even bigger sense of humor. He could make just about anyone laugh, and he usually did. He had a way of telling stories that pulled people in, often leaving them shaking their heads or laughing out loud.

He was proud of his daughter, Miranda Barrett, and absolutely loved being “Pop Pop” to his granddaughter, Lily Barrett. His family meant everything to him, and he never missed a chance to brag about them.

Royal was the kind of person who filled a room just by being in it. He spoke his mind, made people laugh when they didn’t expect to, and never tried to be anyone but himself. 

He’ll be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all the people whose lives he brightened.
