Rose Marie Villano

VILLANO: Rose Marie Villano, 95, formerly of New London, Niantic, and Groton, was reunited with the love of her life on March 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 25, 1929, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the cherished daughter of the late James and Viola (Della Pia) Spadaro.

On June 11, 1949, she married her soulmate, Ambrose Villano, Jr., in St. Joseph Church, beginning a beautiful journey together that spanned 74 years. Her beloved husband preceded her in death on August 2, 2023.

Rose is survived by her four children: Carol Fox (Larry) of MA, Susan Casper of FL, Darlene Dwire (Jack) of Waterford, and James Villano, Sr. (Diane) of Waterford. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Robin Casper.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Church, 149 Montauk Avenue, New London.
