Norman J. Stubbs Jr.

Norman J. Stubbs Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 23, 2026 at the age of 61. 

Norman J. Stubbs, Jr. was born on October 5, 1964 to Marie Tudisca Stubbs and Norman J. Stubbs, Sr., who both predeceased him. Norman Jr. never went by his full first name, instead he affectionately went by Jay (or Jamie) to his family and friends. 

Jay graduated from St. Bernard’s High School in 1982. He spent much of his time focusing on music and photography. After high school he worked for Mystic Color Lab for many years and captured many life moments for local families. 

Jay eventually changed career paths, as he embraced his love for the outdoors and landscaping. He always took such pride in keeping his yard incredibly pristine and wanted to share that with others. He joined Bruce & Sons Lawn Care Services and devoted his time to his work and friendships he built there. His colleagues fondly called him Stubbsy, and they shared many laughs together over the years.

Jay loved traveling, being outside in his yard, swimming in the pool, cooking, and watching the Red Sox. Jay had one of the biggest hearts and loved animals more than anything! His dog Moose was his greatest gift! He also devoted so much of his time helping his mother, aunt, and any family in need. His legacy will live on through those who knew him best, as he will be greatly missed by his numerous cousins and close friends! 

A service in his honor will be held on Thursday, April 30th from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Lighthouse Community Baptist Church in Pawcatuck.
