ANGIOLINI: Mary Lou Angiolini, 95 of Niantic, entered eternal life on April 29, 2025, in the company of her loving daughter Mary Beth Carta. She was born Aug. 5, 1929, in Indianola, PA the daughter of the late Thomas and Jenny (Malpezzi) Allen, Sr. She was united in marriage to John R. Angiolini on Sept. 29, 1952, in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg, PA. Mr. Angiolini died Oct. 17, 2025. In 1992 Mary Lou and her husband moved to the area to be near her daughter and husband Mary Beth and Michael Carta of Waterford. Mrs. Angiolini was a communicant of St. Agnes Church in Niantic. Besides her daughter she is survived by a sister Barbara Allen of PA. Two grandchildren, John Carta and Kathryn and husband Trevor Flannigan. A great grandson Dean Flannigan. She was predeceased by three siblings Virgina Shoaf, Sarah Zarbis and Thomas Allen, Jr. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Monday morning from 10 am to 11 am at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 am in St. Agnes Church, 22 Haigh Ave., Niantic. Interment will follow in East Lyme Cemetery.
