Julia Sexton Obituary

Waterford - Julia "Tootsie" M. (Connor, Bambrick) Sexton, 102, of Waterford, wife of the late Arthur J. Sexton, peacefully passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born in Hartford, the daughter of John and Julia Bambrick. Julia lived in Waterford for 50 years and was a lifetime member of the Goshen Fire Department Auxiliary. A devout Catholic, she was deeply proud of her Irish roots and often visited her father's birthplace in Prince Edward Island. 

Julia had a great love for knitting, warm weather, baking, art, and most of all, her family. She was adored by all who knew her and will forever remain in their hearts. 

She is survived by her daughters-in-law, Laurie Sexton, and Deborah Sexton; her four grandchildren, Sean Sexton, Bonnie Stanford, Katelyn Nguyen and her husband Jamie Nguyen, and Brienne Sexton; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. 

She was predeceased by her sons, Richard Sexton and Dennis Sexton; her daughter, Coleen Post; and her son-in-law Wally Post. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Monday, Dec. 29, at St. Paul's Church, 170 Rope Ferry Road, Waterford. Interment will be held privately.
