Joseph Stephen Parzych

PARZYCH: Joseph Stephen Parzych, 70 of New London entered eternal life on June 5, 2026, in the company of his loving family. He was born Jan. 23, 1956, in New London the son of the late Ignacy and Ewa (Dmytrow) Parzych. A lifelong resident of New London and the first Parzych to be born here. He was a graduate of St. Bernard’s High School, class of 1974 and later graduated from Mitchell College and New Haven University. He was united in marriage to Rowena Marciniak on Sept. 19, 1981, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Mrs. Parzych survives him. Joe owned and operated Kientzy Jewelers for over 40 years in downtown New London, and later on Ocean Ave. He was a member of the Niantic Lion’s Club and was a devote parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Quaker Hill. Besides his beloved wife Rowena of nearly 45 years, he is survived by two children, Jo I Parzych and Katrina Parzych, and his loving sister, Barbara Parzych. His family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 5 to 7pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. The funeral will assemble on Thursday at 10 am and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 63 Old Norwich Rd. Quaker Hill. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery.
