Joan Marie Falconi

FALCONI: Joan Marie Falconi, 90 of Quaker Hill, entered eternal life on Feb. 12, 2025, at home in the company of her loving son Richard Gaines. She was born Jan. 12, 1935, in New London the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (Piscatello) DeMarco. She was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Falconi who died Nov. 8, 2018. Mrs. Falconi worked as a receptionist for Dr. Urbanetti’s office or many years.  She is survived by her son and spouse, Richard and Melanie Gaines, and a grandson Robert Gaines all of Uncasville. A sister Beverly Christensen of Quaker Hill. In addition, she is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Sarah Cooney, Anne Bernacki, Dolores Sheehan, Josephine Esposito, Lorraine Basilica, and several other siblings who passed at a very young age. Her family will receive relatives and friends Tuesday morning from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 12 pm in St. Joseph Church, 49 Montauk Ave., New London. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery.
