Giuseppe Argento

ARGENTO: Giuseppe Argento of Waterford, a beloved husband, Papa, and Nonno, passed away on May 11, 2026. Born February 16, 1941, Giuseppe immigrated from Italy to the United States in 1977 with his wife, Elvira, and their two children, beginning a new chapter in America and building a life centered on family, hard work, and dedication. Giuseppe  Argento. is survived by his loving wife, Elvira Argento; his three daughters, Fabiola Ilvento, Debora Argento, Gabriella Argento; his son in-laws, Nick Ilvento, Jr., James Muise and his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Ilvento, III, Jacobey Navick and Nadia Navick. His two sisters Domenica LoBrutto, Maria Cacciatore.   Giuseppe was a hardworking and resourceful man who took pride in providing a good life for his family. He was known for being a social and outgoing presence. He had a true talent as a handyman and enjoyed working with his hand, always finding something to fix, build or improve. In his free time, Giuseppe loved gardening and spending time in the sunshine. Being outdoors brought him peace and joy, and he took great pride in caring for his garden and watching things grow. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love for his family, his lively personality, and the life he built from the ground up after coming to the United States. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by those who knew and loved him. Family and friends may gather for a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11 am in St. Joseph Church, 149 Montauk Ave., New London. Interment to follow in St. Mary Cemetery. The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London has been entrusted with his care.
