Elizabeth “Betty” Marie Pisapia

PISAPIA: Elizabeth “Betty” Marie Pisapia, 79 of Waterford, entered eternal life on Dec. 13, 2024, in the comfort of her home along side of her loving daughter Tammy. She was born March 21, 1945, in Putnam, CT, the daughter of the late Edmond and Loretta Bourgeois-Frist. She was united in marriage to Gary M. Pisapia on Aug. 15, 1988, in Mystic, Ct, Mr. Pisapia predeceased her in 2020. Betty was a long -time resident of Waterford, and a proud retired employee of the Waterford Board of Education. In addition to being an avid member of the Groton Bowling League, she very much enjoyed watching the UConns womans basketball team. Betty also took much pride in decorating for the holidays as well as working in her yard taking meticulous care of it. She is survived by three children and spouses, Russell and Susan Perkins of Oakdale, Robin and John Campbell of Waterford and Tammy and Michael Mugovero of Waterford. A sister Ella Ward of Groton. Four grandchildren, Brittany, Johnny, Alyssa and Erica.  She was predeceased by three siblings; Norbert and Roger Frist, Pearl Erickson-Waller. A funeral home service will be held on Thursday at 11 am from the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. Interment to follow in Jordan Cemetery, Waterford.
