Carol Ann Holway

Ledyard - Carol Ann Holway, 82, of Ledyard, entered eternal life, Dec. 28, 2024, in the company of her loving family. She was born Oct. 16, 1942, in New London, the daughter of the late Charles and Marjorie (O'Donnell) Baborsky. Raised in New London, she was united in marriage to David Holway Aug. 6, 1960, in Groton, and they were happily married for 61 years. He predeceased her.

Carol worked for the former SNET for 30 years, retiring as an assistant manager. She greatly enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in her retirement. She liked working in her yard with her dog Milo and cat Nigel, and in the summer, she enjoyed spending the mornings at Eastern Point Beach.

She is survived by two daughters, Michelle Kloner and son-in-law Toby of Palm Bay, Fla., and Jennifer Chrzanowski and partner Robert Allen of Norwich; a brother, William Baborsky, of Colchester; grandchildren: Carolynn Rivera, Catherine Lagace, Tyson and Kendall Chrzanowski, and Ava Allen; and two great-grandchildren, Colton and Weston Lagace. She was predeceased by two siblings, Helen Stack and Robert Baborsky.

All funeral services are private. The Impellitteri-Malia Funeral home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London has been entrusted with her care.
