Anna Orobello

Oakdale - Anna “Nina” Angela Orobello, 88, of Oakdale, entered eternal life Aug. 19, 2025. She was born June 9, 1937, in Manhattan, N.Y., the daughter of the late Ugo and Grace (DiMaria) Morisani. She was united in marriage to Michael Orobello Sr. July 7, 1962, in Our Lady of Grace Church in Brooklyn, N.Y., her beloved husband Michael passed away in 2019.
Mrs. Orobello was a teacher at Hicksville Long Island Public School. Moving to Oakdale in 1971, she later worked at the former Ocean Pharmacy in New London for 17 years. A devote and loving wife, mother, who adores her family. Nina enjoyed gardening in her yard tending to her flowers.  
She is survived by a son, Michael and spouse Jaclyn Orobello, II of Canterbury; daughter Maria Goss of Waterford; her grandchildren, Melissa and Adam Goss, Alexandria Field, Megan Robinson; and great-grandchildren, Waylon Robinson and Levi Harbec. She was predeceased by a daughter, Grace Fryer.
Her family will receive relatives and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. The funeral will assemble at 9 a.m. Saturday, and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John’s Church, 22 Maple Ave. Montville. Interment in St. Andrew Cemetery in Colchester.
