Angeline "Angie" Spinnato

SPINNATO: Angeline “Angie” Spinnato, 97 of Waterford, entered eternal life on April 15, 2026, at home in the company of her loving family. She was born Dec. 8, 1928, in New London the daughter of the late James and Josephine (Palmetti) Bernardo. She was united in marriage to Orazio “Sonny” Spinnato on June 21, 1947, at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Sonny predeceased her in 1999. Angie work as a cashier for the former Biet Brothers Supermarket for 34 years and late retiring from Stop & Shop. She is survived by her two children and their spouses, James and Brenda Spinnato of Waterford, Carol and David Saunders of New London. Her brother Richard and wife Debbie Bernardo of New London. Five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a great- great grandchild. She was predeceased by a brother Leonard Bernardo. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave., New London. A funeral home service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am, followed by interment in St. Mary Cemetery.
